Unfamiliar Ground is a Melbourne-based magazine concept that connects the past and present. The publication retells the stories of foreign immigrant experiences in Australia, and shifts the stigma of vulnerable communities to help promote positive social awareness.
Each issue focuses on a different topic surrounding immigration and ethnic values, aiming to give a new generation of young Australians an insight into the contributions and hardships that immigrants once faced and continue to encounter.

Both the content and design uses primary research that advocates a positive discussion around immigration in Australia. Research includes personal family photographs, interviews, surveys and anecdotal experiences.
