Open House Melbourne is an annual not‑for‑profit architecture festival in Melbourne that opens significant and often normally inaccessible buildings for public tours, talks and events to celebrate design and the city’s built environment.
As part of Open House Melbourne Weekend 2024, 500 Bourke Street; an innovative retrofit by Fender Katsalidis for ISPT, was showcased through a public building tour, offering visitors a unique insight into its transformation.
A short, promotional video was created to encourage visitors to book the free building tour led by the design team at FK:
"Discover the remarkable transformation of 500 Bourke Street, a pioneering retrofit project led by renowned multi-disciplinary practice Fender Katsalidis (FK) for asset owner ISPT.
Embark on a guided tour with the FK team as they unveil the building's unique design, its mostly untouched concrete façade and how the retrofit transformed an underutilised 1970s brutalist building into an A-grade contemporary workplace."
